PELCOR Opens a store in Campo Pequeno, Lisbon and exports to China
Pelcor has opened a store in Campo Pequeno Mall, Lisbon an asset of 75,000€. With a Show-room located in S. Brás de Alportel, Algarve, Pelcor is represented in about 80 stores in Portugal, and opened its first store in a mall. Pelcor products are made from a raw material of Nature. Pelcor develops innovative items that amalgamate cork to new materials, technologies, and ecology. In 2006, the company had a profit of one half million euros. PELCOR expects a profit of 800 thousand euros at the end of this year. These profits show the special interest - both national and international - that has risen in this brand name that has been in the market for only 4 years.
Most recently, Pelcor has been exporting to the most important cities of China, providing items to a chain of Decoration stores. Pelcor is represented in Fairs and Seminaries abroad, and is currently displaying a “Wind Rose” collection of purses and wallets at an exhibition in Washington, which is dedicated to the Discoveries (Encompassing the Globe: Portugal and the World in the 16th and 17th Centuries). Pelcor has a wide variety of purses, wallets, hats, umbrellas, gloves and other fashion accessories, office and house products, travel products and gifts.

After the success in Italy Pelcor will be present at Remade in Portugal Exhibition. Pelcor attended the latest Remade in Italy Exhibition, in Italy, with the Butterfly purse, produced by the company and signed by the Portuguese Fashion designer Luís Buchinho. This was the first time that a well-known Portuguese designer has created a cork product. At the event, our Portuguese representation was recognized by the quality of national designs and our industry’s production ability. Once again, Pelcor has showed the versatility of this material that has been giving shape to Fashion, Decoration, Office Products, and Gifts for 4 years. Pelcor mix the technology and innovation to ecology. Remade in Italy was created in the scope of Remade in the World project, which will bring those exhibitions to several countries in order to encourage companies to develop products made with recycled materials that have an unique design and production quality, as well as commercial visibility, and to promote environmental education. Remade in Portugal will take place in Portugal in September. Architects, designers and well-known fashion designers will attend the event. The occasion gets cultural and technological contributions from different countries and gives national and international visibility to the companies… Pelcor, always ahead in the innovation race, will attend the event.
